Event Navigation
A lot is happening in Milwaukee County from the proposed new Bucks arena, the building of new high rise residential developments, and other high profile economic development. At the center of many of these things is the Milwaukee County government, and specifically our guest for this month.
In our continuous effort to deliver to our memberships (and guests) meaningful and timely topics; Corporate Casual is excited to host Tieg Whaley-Smith the Director of Administrative Services for Milwaukee County on Tuesday August 25th at 5pm at the Milwaukee Yacht Club.
Tieg was appointed by County Executive Chris Able to serve as the county’s Economic Development Director in 2013, and in 2015 was appointed to be the Director of Administrative Services for the county. As the County’s Economic Development Director, Teig was responsible for managing the County’s real estate portfolio, creating $6,000,000 in land sales and nearly $25,000,000 in tax base and over 1,400 construction related jobs. As the Director of Administrative Services, Teig is responsible for oversight of the County Budget, Facilities, Procurement, Economic Development, Information Technology and several other divisions. Currently, Teig is spearheading the consolidated facilities planning effort to modernize Milwaukee County’s physical footprint, an exercise that is already projected to save the County more than $25 million.
